I had enough time during the past few days to do some sewing. Yesterday I finished sewing my squares in groups of two and they are ready to be assembled as a quilt top. All I need to do now is to match the colours, but...
I made these with the off cuts of the main squares I sewed for the quilt top.
Can't help it, just don't like wasting :)

...a baby quilt.
We all came down with a bad gastro last week. Let me say; my face and the toilet got to know each other well...
I had so much Kona fabric in porcelain colour and was waiting for a project to use a decent chunk of it. I managed to cut 158- 3.5"x3.5" squares while I was still recovering and last night I cut 79- 2.5"x2.5" squares from some nice, colourful, leftover fabrics.
I must admit that I have doubts about using such a light colour as negative space, but I will still give it a go. This quilt will either be a nice one with bright colours standing out on the light background or all those colours will look like they are hanging in the air!

This table runner was my Christmas project but I was able to finish it just a couple of days ago. You know what
I they say: the best project is the finished project :-)
Unfortunately, this is the best photo I could take. It was such an overcast day and there wasn't enough light coming on to my table. I was also rushing so I didn't have a chance to try different locations for the photos. I even left some food smudges on the tiles for your viewing pleasure...

In 2014, I want to hug my boys even more. I wish them good health, more happiness, success and I hope whatever they wish comes true.
And I hope 2014 is a fantastic year for you. Happy new year!
