Monday Makers! #14 and a finish at last

You will remember this project from my QDAD post a fews ago. After my very busy days at work, I turned to this project and finished it immediately.
I really enjoyed quilting this and I love the FMQ design I came up with.
The back of the block looks interesting too.
It is now a lovely pillow.
I didn't have a zipper at hand so I followed the envelope backing tutorial of crazy mum quilts. It is fast and easy.
The pillow measures 18"x18".
So, one UFO finished. The great news, for me at least LOL, is that my office is closing for the Christmas holiday period mid December. I am hoping to be able finish all my UFOs and even start a new project. I am really looking forward to it.

Have you finished any projects last week? Starting something new today? If so, I would like to see them! You don't have to be a follower of my blog, just come and link up!
Your project can be anything you start on that Monday as long as it makes you move and be active and creative: a new quilt, a knitting project, scrap booking, cross-stitching, baking-we don't mind yummy recipes!, a gardening project, painting your house!, tidying up the pantry!...This is your Monday and you are the maker of the day!

A late Monday Makers! #13 and a Blog anniversary give away

(Please read the update added on Saturday, 22 November at the end of the post. Thank you!)
I am so happy to say that my busy days at work have almost finished. I was in Adelaide yesterday for a meeting. It was only a day trip so it was a little rushed and compressed. By the time I got home, it was almost ten o'clock at night. After a quick change into pyjamas and a cuddle with my boy, I left myself into the soft arms of my bed. I am back at work tomorrow and all I need to do is do some follow up work to finish for the year.
I opened my eyes this morning with a little panic because I realised that I forgot to post Monday Makers! yesterday. So here is Monday Makers! #13 with a small addition:
Friday 21 is my first blog anniversary; so, I have a little give away to celebrate it. I want to thank my followers for their continuous support with this give away and also welcome the new ones if they wish to become a follower.
Different than a usual fabric or book give away, today I am giving away a pair of earrings from my small jewellery business.
This beautiful piece of jewellery is fully handmade in Turkey with a traditional Turkish technique called "igne oyasi/oya lace". You can see several other examples of jewellery made with this technique here and here. These earrings measure 2.5 inches between the widest points.
You can enter to win twice by 1) commenting on this post and letting me know that you are following my blog on Bloglovin; 2) by commenting on this post on my Facebook page and letting me  know that you "like" my page.
I will keep the give away open until Saturday midnight AEDT/08:00 EST
Update: I decided to reschedule this giveaway for Monday, 8 December for Sew Mama Sew's biannual give away linky party day. Thank you for your understanding.
I will create a list of names by combining your names here and on my Facebook page and let the random number generator pick a winner. I will announce the winner on Sunday. Good luck!

Now to Monday Makers!
Please link up your beautiful finishes from last week and your new projects you have started for this week. I am looking forward to visiting your pages!

Monday Makers! #12

Hi all! How was your weekend?
I have been soo busy at work lately and tomorrow (I am scheduling this post) is the start to an incredibly busy two weeks-might be three! I even worked on the days I am normally home. Unfortunately, I haven't done any quilting or sewing- actually I haven't done ANYTHING apart from coming home and crashing next to my son while putting him to bed. Now, I am dreaming of the quiet times when I can quilt freely once this rush finishes.
I want to take this opportunity to thank my followers who leave nice comments and are a motivation and support for me and also the linkers who link up with me on Mondays for Monday Makers! Thank you very much. Your support means a lot to me.
Now, show me what you accomplished last week and what projects you are starting today. I look forward to seeing them!
Here are the linky rules:

Monday Makers!#11

I feel dazzled by how fast the time is going. It feels like there are less than 7 days in a week. I open my eyes, it is Monday; close my eyes and open them again, it is Friday. So busy at work, weekends are not enough, I don't get enough things done...there is always a rush rush...I feel overwhelmed.
Unfortunately I don't have anything to show you today nor have I made progress on my two WIPs. As always, I welcome your finished beauties and looking forward to seeing your projects for the week.
I am leaving you with the photo of my Christmas wish for this year. I don't think Santa is wealthy enough to get me this gift though.
What is your wish from Santa?
